Automate Recurring Reports

Automations let PaceCount do recurring work for you. The first version focuses on one useful job: emailing a report on a schedule. Automations are a Pro-plan feature and are currently in beta.

Turn Automations on

Automations use a two-step gate:

1. Your plan must include Automations (Pro).
2. The Settings → Automations section lets you turn the beta on or off (it's on by default once you're entitled).

When active, the Automations tab appears with a Beta badge.

Create an automation

The plane is prompt-first — you describe what you want in plain language, and PaceCount drafts an automation for you to review:

1. Open the Automations tab, or use Add to automation from any report.
2. Describe what you want — for example, "Email me last week's revenue every Monday at 8am."
3. Review the draft: a schedule trigger (daily, weekly, or monthly at a time in your time zone) and a send report action (which report, what period, and who receives it).
4. Adjust anything, then save.

New automations are always created turned off — nothing runs until you review it and switch it on.

What it does when it runs

At each scheduled time, the automation builds the report for the period you chose and emails a branded summary to your recipients, optionally with a short-lived CSV link. Each scheduled run happens at most once, even if something retries behind the scenes.

Guardrails

• Reporting must be enabled for report automations to run.
• There are sensible limits on recipients and how many automations you can create.
• If you downgrade your plan, privileged automations stop running rather than executing without entitlement.

Common questions

• Nothing sent at the scheduled time. Confirm the automation is switched on, reporting is enabled, and the recipients are valid.
• Can it do more than reports? More triggers and actions are planned. Today's version ships the schedule trigger and the send-report action.
