Customers & Intake
Limit Intake to Your Service Area
Discourage or block requests from outside your service radius so you get better-fit leads.

The service-area gate keeps your Get Started page focused on customers you can actually serve. It's a free feature attached to customer intake — there's no separate plan requirement.
How it works
You choose a center point and a radius (default 25 miles). When a customer enters their address during intake, PaceCount measures the straight-line distance from your center point and applies the mode you've chosen.
The three modes
- Off (default): no check. Any address is accepted.
- Warn: customers outside the radius see a gentle, dismissable notice but can still submit.
- Block: out-of-area addresses are refused with your custom message, and the customer can't continue until they enter an in-area address.
Block mode is enforced on the server, not just in the browser, so it can't be bypassed.
Set it up
- Open the Get Started Page settings and find the service area option.
- Choose Warn or Block.
- Set your center address and radius.
- For Block mode, write the message customers see when they're out of area.
The gate stays inactive until you set a center point — so saving Warn or Block without a center accepts all addresses until you add one.
Common questions
- Is this driving distance? No, it's straight-line ("as the crow flies") distance — predictable and simple, meant as a deterrent rather than an exact route.
- Will it turn away good customers near the edge? Use Warn if you want to allow borderline addresses while still flagging them. Use Block only when you strictly won't travel further.
