Block Days Off
Use blackout dates to remove vacations, holidays, and personal days from your booking calendar.
Last updated July 16, 2026
Blackout dates are the quickest way to keep customers from booking days you're unavailable. They work on every plan and don't require Advanced Scheduling.
Block a day
- Open the Blackout Dates tab.
- Add the dates or ranges you're unavailable — holidays, vacation, or personal days.
- Save.
Blocked days are removed from the customer's date picker automatically, both in your customer portal and on your public Get Started page. Customers simply can't select them.
When to use blackout dates vs. Advanced Scheduling
- Just need to close specific days? Blackout dates are all you need.
- Want a recurring weekly schedule or per-person time off? That's Advanced Scheduling.
Blackout dates and Advanced Scheduling work together: blocked days are always removed, regardless of anyone's weekly hours.
Common questions
- Do blocked days affect existing appointments? Blackout dates prevent new bookings on those days. Existing confirmed appointments aren't removed — adjust those individually if needed.
- Can I block just part of a day? Blackout dates cover whole days. For finer control over hours, use Advanced Scheduling and set weekly hours or time off.
