Choosing Your Workspace Mode
Decide whether customers reach you through a lead funnel, a full customer portal, or not at all — and how much profile info to collect.

Your workspace mode is the first decision that shapes how customers interact with your business. It controls whether people can reach you through your public Get Started page, and whether they get accounts. Set it in Settings → Workspace Mode.
The three modes
- Booking Funnel — customers submit requests through your Get Started page without creating an account. Best for straightforward lead capture: you review each request and follow up.
- Customer Portal — customers create accounts, manage their own bookings, and can submit new requests over time. Best when you want an ongoing self-serve relationship.
- Admin Only — no public intake. You add and manage everything yourself. Best while you're still setting up, or if you only book customers manually.
Which should I choose?
- Just want leads with no account overhead? Booking Funnel.
- Want repeat customers to log in and track their own visits? Customer Portal.
- Not ready for public bookings yet? Admin Only, then switch on intake when you're ready.
Customer profile requirements (Portal mode)
When you're in Customer Portal mode, Workspace Mode also shows Customer Profile Requirements. Both options are on by default so nothing changes unless you opt out:
- Require zip & phone before portal access — after sign-in, customers must enter zip and phone (and accept Terms) before using the portal. Turn this off if you prefer a lighter login; zip and phone are then collected when they book.
- Require street address before booking — customers must enter a street address before requesting a service from the portal. Address fields use Google Places suggestions when Maps is available. Turn this off if street address isn't needed at booking time (zip and phone are still required when booking).
If customers can't find a way to book
Check this setting first. Admin Only hides your intake page entirely, so no one can submit a request. Switch to Booking Funnel or Customer Portal to open intake back up.
Next steps
Once you've picked a mode, go live with customer intake to configure your Get Started page.
