Set Up Appointment Reminders
Reduce no-shows with automatic reminders before appointments and around payment due dates.
Last updated July 16, 2026
Reminders nudge customers before their appointment so they show up prepared. You control when they go out and which channels they use, from Settings → Reminders.
Set appointment reminders
- Open Settings → Reminders.
- Turn on appointment reminders.
- Choose one or more offsets — how far ahead each reminder goes out (for example, 1 day before and 2 hours before).
- Pick the channels: email, in-app, and (where enabled on your plan) text message.
You can add multiple reminders at different offsets so customers get a heads-up and a final nudge.
Payment reminders
If you collect payments, you can also remind customers about amounts due — before the due date, on the due date, and after if something's overdue. Configure these in the same Reminders settings.
Event reminders
If you run events, they have their own reminder settings. When you don't set them separately, events inherit your appointment reminder settings.
How delivery is decided
Every reminder passes through three checks before it sends: your business must have the channel enabled, the reminder type must be turned on, and the individual customer's preferences and consent must allow it. This keeps reminders wanted rather than noisy.
Common questions
- Text messages aren't an option. SMS is available on higher plans. Email and in-app reminders work on every plan.
- A customer opted out — will they still get appointment reminders? Customer preferences are respected on reminder sends. Essential transactional messages about their booking may still be delivered.
