Send Broadcasts to Customers

Re-engage past customers with built-in, compliance-first email broadcasts.

Last updated July 20, 2026

Broadcasts let you send promotions, seasonal reminders, and service updates to your customers — built right into PaceCount, with unsubscribe compliance handled for you. Broadcasts are a Pro-plan feature.

Reminders vs. broadcasts

  • Reminders are automatic, one-to-one messages about a specific appointment or payment.
  • Broadcasts are one-to-many marketing emails you send to a group of customers.

Send a broadcast

  1. Open the Broadcasts tab (labeled Marketing in some places).
  2. Create or pick a template — subject and body, with variables like the customer's name.
  3. Choose your audience from your customer list.
  4. Send a test to yourself to check how it looks.
  5. Send the broadcast, then watch delivery and engagement metrics on the campaign.

Built-in compliance

Every broadcast automatically includes a compliant footer with your business address and an unsubscribe link. You can't remove these — they keep your sending healthy and lawful. Customers who unsubscribe are excluded from future broadcasts automatically.

Design options

Use the visual editor for quick text emails, or the code designer for more control over the body. Either way, PaceCount wraps your content in a branded shell with the required compliance block.

Let customers share your link

Want recipients to pass your business along to friends and neighbors? Insert the {shareLink} variable from the Variables menu. It drops a clean, tappable link to your Get Started page right in the email, so anyone who receives your broadcast can copy or forward it to others.

This variable appears only when your Get Started page is turned on. It points to the same place as the branded {ctaButton} — use the button for a strong call to action, and the share link when you want a plain link people can easily forward.

Broadcast groups

Groups are saved lists of customers you can send to again and again — for example "VIPs", "Spring cleanup", or "Past customers".

  1. In Broadcasts, open the Groups sub-tab.
  2. Create a group with a name (and optional description).
  3. Open Members to search your customers and tap to add or remove people.
  4. When sending a broadcast, choose Group as your audience and pick the group.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Membership sticks until you change it. Unlike an on-the-fly selection, a group stays as-is between sends, so you don't have to rebuild your audience each time.
  • Automations can maintain groups for you. You can set up an automation to add a customer to a group when they're created, gain a tag, or a job reaches a status (and to remove them again). Members added by an automation show an Auto badge. Adding someone by hand and having an automation manage them are independent — removing one won't remove the other. See Automate recurring reports for how automations work.
  • Unsubscribes are always respected. Anyone who has opted out is skipped at send time even if they're in the group — the preview tells you how many members are opted out or no longer exist.
  • Deletions are handled automatically. Removing a customer removes them from every group; deleting a group removes its membership. You never end up emailing someone you deleted.

Common questions

  • I don't see the Broadcasts tab as interactive. It shows in preview mode until you're on Pro (or have been granted access). See Plans and pricing overview.
  • Is there a sending limit? Yes — broadcasts include a monthly email allowance appropriate to the plan, which keeps deliverability strong.
