Forms & Agreements
How do I set up service agreements and e-signatures?
Send service agreements for electronic signature inside PaceCount — 10/mo on Essentials, 50/mo on Pro — with business and job details filled in automatically.

Service agreements let you send a contract for a customer to sign electronically without leaving PaceCount. Your business info, customer details, and job specifics fill in automatically. Agreements are on Essentials and Pro, with e-signature caps of 10/month (Essentials) and 50/month (Pro), shared with signed forms. For what happens after you generate an agreement, see How service agreements work.
How does signing work?
Every template has two parties: the First Party (your business) and the Second Party (your customer). By default, agreements are client-only: PaceCount completes your side automatically, and only the customer signs. If the admin must finish First Party first, turn on Admin completes First Party first for that template in Settings → Service Agreements.
Signing is powered by a dedicated e-signature service behind the scenes, but you never manage a separate signing account — everything happens inside PaceCount.
How do I build a template?
Paid-tier owners build templates from Settings → Service Agreements → Build:
- Open the template builder.
- Upload your agreement (or start from scratch) and lay out fields.
- Use PaceCount's standard field names where you want auto-fill — see the in-app Field Naming Guide.
- Save. If you rename a template, click Save to PaceCount so the name syncs.
See Build Service Agreement Templates.
What gets filled in automatically?
When you generate an agreement from an appointment, PaceCount populates business name and contact info, customer details, and job context (service date, selected services). Keep business details complete in Settings.
How do I send and track an agreement?
- Open an appointment and choose Generate Service Agreement.
- For client-only templates, the customer is notified. When Admin completes First Party first is on, finish First Party first, then the customer is notified.
- When signing completes, the signed PDF is saved to your workspace and emailed to the customer.
How do I control agreement emails?
Each agreement email has its own toggle in Settings → Notifications. See Notifications overview.
Common questions
Why didn't a field fill in?
Check that its name matches the standard field name exactly (case-sensitive) and that your business details are filled in.
What if the customer says the email went to spam?
Ask them to check spam and allow messages from PaceCount's notification sender — common for newer sending domains.
How many e-signatures do I get per month?
10 on Essentials and 50 on Pro, resetting each calendar month. See Plans and pricing overview.
